Excerpts from Vision Forum Ministries Statement of Faith*
There is one living and true God who is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in all His attributes. He is eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, these three being coequal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections.
Creation
God created the world and all things out of nothing by His powerful Word, planned all things by His wisdom, and controls all things by His sovereign power -- all for His own glory. Mankind, and all life on earth, did not evolve but was created by a direct act of God.
Man
Man was created in the image of God, male and female, to have fellowship with Him and to glorify and serve Him by multiplying godly offspring, taking dominion over the earth, and reflecting his holy character.
Sin
By Adam's willful sin all mankind came under God's wrath and condemnation, were separated from God, and became spiritually dead and therefore unable to please God or merit salvation.
God's Plan of Salvation
Jesus Christ became the representative of His people, taking their sins upon Himself, having offered Himself as a sacrifice to satisfy divine justice and reconcile them to God. All who were chosen in Christ from eternity past are born again by the Holy Spirit, respond from their new hearts with repentance and faith in Jesus, are justified on the basis of the shed blood of Christ, become children of God, and are indwelt, sanctified, and sealed by the Holy Spirit until they are glorified at Christ's return.
Christ
Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross a sacrifice for the sins of His people. He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven where, at the right hand of the Father, He is now interceding for His church and ruling all things on her behalf.
The Covenant of Grace
All of history after man's fall into sin is a progressive outworking of God's covenant of grace. Beginning with the first promise to Adam after the fall and continuing throughout history to the end of the ages, God orders all things in view of his single purpose of redeeming a people to Himself through Christ.
Salvation by Grace, Through Faith, Unto Good Works
Salvation is totally by God's grace, an unmerited gift to the believer. This gift is received by faith alone, apart from any works of the believer. (Even saving faith is a gift from God, that is why it says we are saved by GRACE.) True faith is always accompanied by repentance and a determination to follow Jesus in a life of obedience and good works.
The Church
There is one universal church of which Christ is the Head, made up of true believers in all places and in all times. The visible local church is the ordinary means of the spread of God's kingdom and the building up of God's people in Christ. The primary means by which God extends His grace are the Word, the sacraments, and prayer. The marks of a true church are the proclamation of the whole revelation of God in Scripture, the biblical administration of the sacraments, the exercise of biblical government and discipline, the edifying use of the spiritual gifts given to the members of the body, and a manifestation of unity and love among the members.
The Bible
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings. The Bible is the complete revelation of God's will for the salvation of man and the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and life. The Scriptures are a unified whole. The Old and New Testaments must each be understood in light of the other.

All people are religious.
Whether one is a 'professing Christian', an Agnostic, an Atheist, or even a Pagan - we are all religious.
Being religious requires two things - faith, or belief, and an object of worship.
We all have faith/belief in things that are unseen and we all hold assumptions that are unverifiable. Every man has belief in something that can not be proved beyond a shadow of a doubt. Faith is the confident assurance that what we've hoped for is going to happen. Like being right about what it is we believe. That's why it is called faith. Further, each and every one of us has an object of supreme worship. Everyone - without exception. Those of us who are Christians worship our Lord Jesus Christ; the Creator of the universe; the lover of our souls.
People who put their hope and trust in the things of science worship science. They are religious. They have a chief object of worship. They have faith in assumptions that in time may be refuted - remember when the scientists of the world believed the sun rotated around the earth? Remember the time when the scientists of the world believed that bloodletting was a cure for disease? Some people worship themselves - these people are called Narcists. Some people worship their work - they are called Workaholics. Some people worship knowledge, intellect, and great thought and they may be our Philosopher kings. Some people worship pleasure and they are Hedonists.
We all have an object of worship, therefore we all are religious. It is our faith - those beliefs and presuppositions about our object of worship - that directs and defines our entire life.
True Christianity - which is a life lived out of faith, affection, and worship of our Lord Jesus Christ - is the most reasonable faith.
Faith, HIStory, and science are not contradictions. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is by far the most attested event from antiquity. The Bible has more manuscript evidence than any other 10 pieces of classical literature combined. There are over 24,000 manuscript copies of the New Testament alone in existence today, with the oldest manuscript dated at 125 years after the original autograph. That might seem like a long time, but by comparison, Homer's Iliad is a distant second with a mere 643 manuscript copies, and with the oldest copy dated at 500 years after the original. University Professors and the great minds of literature and social science do not refute the authenticity and existence of today's copies of the Iliad. (or the reality of Homer for that matter...) Scoffers and skeptics are biased against this truth contained within God's Word - the Bible. Their own desire to live as they please without the knowledge of God corrupts their reasoning. It hardens their hearts to the wooing of the Holy Spirit calling them to a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. The enemy of mankind has blinded them and fans the flame for their destruction.
"In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to Me."

"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: 'I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God.' That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg - or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."
We believe it is not a coincidence you have come across our website. The wooing and quickening of the Holy Spirit is a mysterious thing; but at this moment your heart may indeed be cultivated for a true and lasting personal relationship with Jesus Christ - your Creator. He indeed is the Good Shepherd. If you are to be His, He died your death. He loves His sheep that much. He paid the penalty for all your sins. He loves His sheep that much. If you sense this longing to begin walking in a right relationship with Jesus, may we suggest you to go the following website:
"Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? - unless indeed you fail to meet the test!" II Corinthians 13:5 esv
"Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure...." II Peter 1:10a esv
