The purpose of the group is twofold. First, to provide a Christian group for discipleship-minded parents and others involved in and/or interested in teaching their children; to encourage the high standard of excellence for the glory of God – spurring one another on toward love and good deeds. Second, to further appreciation of homeschooling within the community through mentoring, service, communication, and vigorous Christian citizenship.
“The education of our children for God is the most important business done on earth. It is the one business for which the earth exists. To it all politics, all war, all literature, all money-making, ought to be subordinated; and every parent especially ought to feel, every hour of the day, that, next to making his own calling and election sure, this is the end for which he is kept alive by God – this is his task on earth.”
~ R.L. Dabney ~

We encourage every family that home schools to become members of the Home School Legal Defense Association. The freedom to educate our own children has been paid for at a high price by those brave pioneers who suffered both personal and public persecution so they might follow the convictions of their heart. As a result, home educators in Kansas have it pretty good compared to many states in our union. Let us never take this precious freedom for granted. Society is dynamic, and that pendulum continues to swing....

"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm along? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him - a threefold cord is not quickly broken."
